Almer\u00eda celebrated the gala of the II Women’s Leadership Awards on Monday, organized by Unimos Talento, an event that brought together professionals, businesswomen, and institutional representatives to highlight the contribution of influential women in their respective sectors. The Innovative Women’s Project Award at the II Almer\u00eda Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Awards went to Mari Carmen Cano, who received this recognition at an event held at the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Realism (MUREC).<\/p>\n\n

The jury highlighted the management model that Cano has been promoting since 1999, based on the 4P philosophy\u2014Purpose, People, Planet, and Prosperity\u2014and oriented toward applied innovation that combines sustainability, cultural diversity, and inclusion with technological tools to support decision-making<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n

During her speech, the manager expressed her gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the collective nature of business progress. She stated:<\/p>\n\n

adding that at Eurosol “purpose is not a slogan,” but a guide that enables “creating value for people, caring for the environment, and generating shared prosperity.”<\/p>\n\n

Cano also highlighted the transformative moment that Almer\u00eda’s agriculture is experiencing and the role that companies in the sector play in this process<\/sup>. She explained that “we have moved from reacting to anticipating, from working solely on intuition to relying on reliable data, and we are doing so without losing our human essence”<\/sup>. For the executive, this balance “is what makes this recognition especially valuable”<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n

Awards to four female leaders<\/h5>\n\n

The gala honored four women whose careers represent diverse areas of female talent in the province<\/sup>:<\/p>\n\n

  • Innovative Women’s Project Award \u2013 Mari Carmen Cano Cervantes<\/strong>: Recognition of her management model based on the 4Ps and her ability to transform the agricultural sector through innovation, sustainability, and inclusion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Women in Science and Technology Award \u2013 Dr. Tania Romacho Romero: Ram\u00f3n y Cajal Researcher at the University of Almer\u00eda, director of research lines on cardiometabolic complications with more than 35 high-impact publications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Women in Sports and Culture Award \u2013 Constanza P\u00e9rez Haro<\/strong>: Almer\u00eda journalist with an international career, recognized for her reporting work in global conflicts and her educational work at Canal Sur.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
    Roundtable on female talent and equality<\/h5>\n\n

    The gala included a roundtable titled “Management of female talent and business experiences in favor of equality.” The discussion addressed the need to consolidate structures that facilitate shared responsibility, improve the presence of women in leadership positions, and promote business models where innovation and equality advance together.<\/p>\n\n
