Eurosol and the Spanish Red Cross in Almer\u00eda have signed a collaboration agreement that has made it possible to join forces to improve the employability of people in vulnerable situations. The agreement was signed by Mari Carmen Cano, Eurosol\u2019s Managing Director, and Eva P\u00e9rez, Provincial Head of the Red Cross Employment Area in Almer\u00eda, accompanied by area technicians Concha Vargas and Victoria Lumaca. <\/p>\n\n
Through this agreement, Eurosol has established a joint working framework with the Red Cross, making it possible to incorporate the organisation\u2019s Employment Plan as a support resource in staff selection processes. In addition, the company has agreed to collaborate on training, guidance and awareness-raising actions aimed at improving job opportunities for those who have faced greater difficulties accessing the labour market. <\/p>\n\n
At the signing, Eurosol\u2019s Managing Director, Mari Carmen Cano, highlighted that \u201cAlmer\u00eda\u2019s agriculture has demonstrated its ability to create opportunities and to integrate very diverse people\u201d. In this regard, she stressed that the agreement \u201chas been a further step in Eurosol\u2019s social commitment and in our willingness to open the company\u2019s doors to those who have it hardest, because we believe that decent work is the best tool for inclusion\u201d. Cano added that this collaboration \u201chas been carried out hand in hand with an organisation with the experience, closeness and values of the Red Cross, with whom we share the same vision of people\u2019s dignity and the social role of companies\u201d. <\/p>\n\n
For her part, the Provincial Head of the Red Cross Employment Area, Eva P\u00e9rez, praised Eurosol\u2019s involvement and recalled that \u201cRed Cross employment programmes have only achieved their purpose when companies have trusted the talent of the people we support and have committed to equal opportunities\u201d. P\u00e9rez noted that the agri-food sector \u201chas been strategic in the province of Almer\u00eda due to its stability and its ability to offer real integration opportunities to very diverse profiles\u201d, and highlighted that agreements like this \u201chave made it possible to turn training and support into real employment\u201d. <\/p>\n\n
This agreement has been framed within the Red Cross Employment Plan, through its projects \u201cCorporate Social Challenge: Partnerships for Labour Market Integration\u201d, \u201cActivating Employ-ability Plus\u201d and \u201cGo Accelerators\u201d, which have promoted collaboration between the business community and the organisation to encourage the hiring of people in vulnerable situations. These initiatives have helped strengthen the involvement of companies committed to equal opportunities and to foster a more inclusive labour market, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. <\/p>\n\n
The agreement had an initial term of one year, extendable up to four, and provided for the creation of a joint monitoring committee responsible for coordinating actions and evaluating results. In this way, both entities have strengthened their commitment to inclusive employment and social responsibility in the area. <\/p>\n\n
